In just its second year of operations, Alexandria Carbon Black touched another milestone becoming the first carbon black company in the world and the first company in any industry in Egypt, Middle East and North Africa to implement the Environment Management System and get the ISO 14001 certification.

In 1999 ACB won the prestigious "TPM Excellence Award" from the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance - the first Carbon Black company world wide and the first company in the African continent and the Middle East to get this TPM Award.
